Chromosome staining/banding/FISH
Single Ag-NOR present in terminal region of short arm of acrocentric chromosomes pair 22, and confirmed by 18S rDNA-FISH. C-banding showed heterochromatin in pericentromeric region of almost all chromosomes, in addition to revealing conspicuous blocks in terminal region of chromosome pairs corresponding to NORs.
